Location

Les Songes is located in the Deux-Sevres Department of Nouvelle Aquitaine the sunniest region in Western France.    

It is situated in the small hamlet of Jussay and surrounded by rolling French countryside, just 10 kms north-west from the medieval town of Parthenay.

The pretty village of Amailloux,  is 2 kms away and provides a garage, shop selling locally produced food and a bar / restaurant. 

If you are driving from the ferry ports:- 

St Malo, 180 miles, 3 hours 15 minutes. 

Caen 220 miles, 3 hours 45 minutes. 

Calais 380 miles, 6 hours. 

All times are based on how long it takes me, driving within the speed limits without stops.

The nearest airports are:-

Poitiers 40 miles 1 hour. 

Nantes 80 miles 1 hour 20.

La Rochelle 75 miles 1 hour 35.

Nantes Airport has the most flights.
